Linguistics

Linguistics is a main iterest of mine. Don’t know why. All my friends and family seems to be linguistically ignorant. I have no-one I could have inherited this intrest from.

The best and the worst thing about linguistics is that its barely included in any school subject.

• It’s bad ’cause I have nobody but uncle Google to consult on the ideas and problems I encounter during my exploration.
• It’s good as it made me think how much I can learn by myself. No teachers. Only internet and my long-night sessions before the screen. It really makes me feel valuable in little way

As I’m still novice in that matter I’m hungry for any kind of linguistic information, but I’ve already noticed I’m really keen on historical changes in languages and similarities between them. Historical comparison is my friend. And etymology is my sister, then.

Actually it’s not THAT bad, but I really like it, and I don’t regret the hours spent on reading linguistics-connected sites (even if I failed an exam day after).
